The Central Institute for Experimental Animals and the Keio University have concluded an agreement on comprehensive cooperation and support

The Central Institute for Experimental Animals (Chairman: Ryuta Nomura, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. hereinafter referred to as “CIEA”) and Keio University (President: Atsushi Seike, Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as “Keio University”), have decided on a comprehensive cooperation and support agreement, as of September 1st 2016. In the various fields related to life science, this agreement is aimed to contribute to the advancement of international academia, science technologies and to encourage the use of excellent professionals by using research resources and talented person that both, CIEA and Keio University hold. CIEA aims to develop and supply high quality, homogeneous and reproducible laboratory animals, contribute to the development of medical care and the improvement of health and welfare of people. On March 2008, Keio University School of Medicine/Graduate School of Medicine finalized an agreement regarding “Research and Education Collaboration” with the CIEA. Mutually, CIEA has engaged in research exchange and educational support as linked graduate school. In the future, together with Keio University, CIEA will strengthen the cooperation and support system and aim for research, medical, education, social contribution and international collaboration in the broader field of life science.
